The first five senses (sense of smell, taste, touch, and hearing) are most sensitive to changes in health. Mental health is influenced by the quality of relationships we have, how we perceive our environment, what we learn, and what we are exposed to on a daily basis.

The most common of these issues are depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse and violence. Mental health care can be quite expensive, but many other health issues can also arise due to a poor diet, sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise. A good diet, exercise, and good communication with your doctor can go a long way towards ensuring optimum health. There are also some simple steps you can take to improve your well-being.
